SMS Smart is a handy web service to implement SMS marketing campaigns. Also, SMS Smart is an entirely web service and doesn’t need any programs or applications for your computer and your SMS recipients. You can do bulk SMS distribution through the website in the Internet browser that means there is a great opportunity to work from any part of the world – while lying on the beach or having a good time at the restaurant, so you do not need to attach your marketing manager or yourself to the working place.
All you need is an Internet connection! Bulk Messaging is the distribution of large amounts of SMS messages for delivering to mobile phone terminals. It is used by media companies, enterprises, financial institutions (for marketing and fraud monitoring), and customer brands for a variety of goals including entertainment, enterprise, and mobile marketing.

What is rate plan & how can I benefit from it?
Depending on your total SMS monthly expenses per single account, we offer a Special Bonus Plan.
Bonuses are available once your monthly total expenses reach:
- 0-499 EUR 0% > price per SMS according to Starter rate plan
- 500-1499 EUR 5% >> Bonus 5%
- 1500-4999 EUR 7.5% >> Bonus 7.5%
- 5000-9999 EUR >> Bonus 10%
The earned Bonus will be calculated in form of a percentage over the total amount spent in a month and it will be credited to your account on the following month.
On page Pricing, you can see available rate plans and prices per SMS on each destination depending on the discount applied.
Please note, rate plan doesn’t apply to your basic cost per SMS mentioned in the Starter plan and is not visible in your account Dashboard (SMS Rates). All discounts are available in form of a refund in the next month. Please, refer your manager for discounts at support@sms-smart.com.
Individual discounts are available for large daily volumes of SMS and total account turnover starting from 10000 EUR / month. Please, contact us to discuss the details of your individual rate plan.
How can I get 1 EUR on tests?
Please, note in order to get test credits, you need to contact us and inform the details of your SMS needs:
- The exact SMS text you want to send
- Sender ID - which sender are you going to use
- The country you want to send SMS and daily amount of SMS
Be aware, we need this information in order to configure SMS channels \ routes for your account correctly, as well as check with our providers if it will not be blocked as spam. In case of any issue, our team will help you to modify the SMS text to ensure the best delivery rate.

How can I top up my balance?
Since it is a prepaid service; we offer a PayPal and Stripe payment method, also you can use your credit card while checkout with Paypal or Stripe.
To top up your account, you need to:
- Log in to your account
- Proceed to the Purchase menu (see it on the left side of the Dashboard). Here you’ll see the Rate plan assigned to you and a button to Top up your balance.
- Click Top up your balance. In the dialog that appears, select the currency, enter the amount and click Put to cart.
- Proceed to the cart by clicking Shopping cart in the top right corner of the page. After this proceed to payment according to the instructions of the system.
NOTE!
For any new user sending their first payment, SMS-Smart reserves the right to process it between 24 and 72 hrs.
Before crediting a payment, to accomplish with taxation rules SMS-Smart might request at his own discretion, some information to the customer, like a valid id card showing name and residence and/or a bank statement and/or a utility bill.
After this initial verification, payments will be processed in less than 24 hrs if the payment method used by the user, will remain the same.
Due to tax regulation, individuals are only allowed to create accounts with real data inside and payments must be related only to the account registered. At SMS-Smart's sole discretion, we might ask for extra information before crediting the first payment.
For each request for a refund without any reason, we reserve the right to keep 9.99 Euro for each payment.

How to pay in BTC?
On our platform, we accept payments in cryptocurrency, mainly in Bitcoins. We accept payments on the minimum amount of 100 EUR. Payments are processed NOT automatically, please, see how to pay in BTC below.
- Contact our financial team at support@sms-smart.com and describe your needs in SMS, if you haven't agreed on it before with your account manager. Mention your registration email, for us to identify you in the system.
- In your email - request the BTC wallet address or payments in BTC. Keep in mind, this wallet address may change, so, please, contact us before each payment in BTC.
- Calculate the amount in BTC according to the current exchange rate for it to be equal minimum 100 EUR. make a BTC transfer.
- Once the BTC transfer is done, please, send the confirmation email again to support@sms-smart.com - this will make the payment processing faster. Mention the BTC transfer amount, your registration email, for us to identify you in the system.

Which currencies do you accept?
All transactions are in Euro (EUR) by default. You can top up your balance using the other currencies accounts (card, PayPal account), the payment will be converted according to the currency rate at the moment of payment.
Can the rates (price per SMS) change?
Since we purchase wholesale SMS from Tier 1 carriers, the rates can change weekly to us. SMS-Smart will periodically update the rates according to market changes and all the customers will be promptly informed by email newsletter.
Are there any requirements for minimum payments?
As far as we offer discounts on the rate plans (you can see here) there is a requirement for minimal payment - which is 10 EUR - the cost of the Starter rate plan. In case you top up your account in the amount of less than 10 EUR, you'll not be able to buy the initial rate plan to start work on the SMS-Smart platform.
Note! Pay attention, when refilling your account by PayPal, the system takes its fees for the balance transfer, so we request you insert 11 EUR when topping up your balance. To get more information, please, visit the PayPal official website.

Note! To avoid any fraudulent activities with payments through Paypal, for the first payment only, Sms-smart reserves the right to process it between 24 and 72 hrs. Do you provide VAT receipts or invoices?
An automatic receipt for all your payments will be always provided by Paypal.

How do I know my payment details are secure on your website?
Our website uses SSL encryption, and it is an approved secure website according to industry standards. All data use 2048 bit signatures and up to 256 encryption with the highest possible levels of security.
Besides, if you are paying by PayPal, the security is provided fully by this system.
Can I get a refund?
Within 30 (thirty) days from the moment that you pay for the service, you have the right to request that SMS-Smart refund any remaining (unused) funds that have not been spent for use of the service in the given period. When making such a request, you must provide a valid reason for a refund of these funds. When processing refund requests, the SMS-Smart service follows its Refund Policy.
Please, note! For each request for a refund without any reason, we reserve the right to keep 9.99 euros for each payment.

How to add contacts (phone numbers of my clients)?
The Contacts page serves to create and edit message recipients and organize them into groups by assigning tags to them.
Contacts
The three rightmost table columns contain the following controls:
· Details, marked by i - information - contains the button that opens the contact's details window and allows editing the contact (click for the purpose).
· Blacklist - a lock icon - contains the button that serves to exclude the contact from mailouts. Once the contact is blacklisted, the button changes to the green lock icon.
· Remove contains is marked by recycle bin button that serves to delete the record.
To add a new contact, click Create contact. Fill the appropriate fields in the Add contact dialog that appears. Assign one or several tags to the contact by clicking on them. Add a new tag if necessary. Click Save contact.
Alternatively, load one or multiple contacts from an MS Excel file by clicking Import contacts. The file must contain at least one column with phone numbers. In the Import Contact dialog that appears select or create the tags for the contact(s), configure the column headers as appropriate. In the Merge type list select the way duplicates must be handled and click Import.
The import results are displayed in the dialog as shown below.
Click Delete contacts with this tag to remove contacts associated with a specific tag. Contacts with several tags will not be removed.
How to send 1 SMS?
Note! You can send SMS only if you have a positive balance.
Find Send message control, it allows quickly sending one or several messages for testing purposes. Complete the following fields:
- Sender ID: alphanumeric string (16 characters maximum).
- Recipient: the recipient's phone number (must contain the country code)
- Message: text of the SMS
- Long message split mode: the parameter defines how long messages are treated. The drop-down list contains the following values:
- Cut (trim message text according to GSM spec)
- Payload (send SMPP message with text in message_payload field)
- Split (split the message into several with UDH)
- Split (using SAR TLV fields)
Click Send SMS.
Alternatively, click Send campaign from the file to load the campaign parameters from an MS Excel file. The file must contain three columns: Sender ID, Recipient and Message text. Click send SMS. In the Send campaign from the file, dialog configures the column headers as appropriate and click Send messages.
To check the status of the campaign, go to the Campaigns page and click Send from file tasks.
You can also insert short links in the message body.
Note! The maximum character length for 1 SMS in Latin-based alphabet languages like English, French, and Spanish is 160 symbols. Long text messages are divided into parts 152 symbols each. The maximum length of 1 SMS by other non-English characters (languages not using a Latin-based alphabet, like Arabic or Chinese) is 70 symbols. Long text messages are divided into parts 67 symbols each.
How to create and send bulk SMS Campaign?
Follow the steps of the Create campaign dialog:
- Click Book icon to select the sender ID or type a new one in the edit box. A sender ID is the name of the person or company that is sending the SMS (alphanumeric string up to 16 characters). Click Continue to next step >.
- In the drop-down list, select an existing message or add the new template to create a new one. Select the long message split mode, review and, if necessary, edit the message. Optionally, using the Add markers drop-down list, include markers to the text to personalize the message. When finished, click Continue to next step >.
- Select tags and configure the list of recipients. Tags are groups of recipients that can be configured according to your needs. Click on the appropriate tag, select the sort order, and edit the list of recipients if necessary. Click Delete orange icon to remove the recipient from the mail out. To add a new recipient, click Add contact. When finished, click Continue to next step >.
- Configure the campaign description and set the schedule. Click Start now for immediate launch or Set a future time for a scheduled mail out, and specify the date and time.
- Click Test campaign to test the mail out. In the dialog that appears, specify the number to which the SMS will be sent, and click Send SMS.
- Click Submit campaign.
- In the preview window that appears, click Create Campaign again. The campaign will appear in the table.
- Alternatively, click Send campaign from file tasks to load the campaign parameters from an MS Excel file (same as in the Dashboard). Click Send campaign from file tasks to view the campaign status (illustrated in the Dashboard section).
How to create multiple groups of contacts and target on them?
How to upload contacts database from my PC?
To upload Contacts (phone numbers) from a file:
- go to the Contacts menu of the control panel;
- click Import Contact;
- choose a file at your PC\laptop;
- In Pop-up assign columns names (first name, last name, phone);
- Create tag \ choose if created before;
- Click Import.
Note! Your file should be .csv or .xls format and should contain columns with the following details: first name, last name, phone (mandatory), comments for each recipient (but without column titles). You can add five more additional fields for other data about your client.

The Connections page enables sending SMS messages from external applications and websites. The page serves to configure parameters for connection to such third-party servers.
Here you can add and edit external application connection parameters (SMS API integration). You can use this interface to set up credentials for your corporate system or application to make it able to interconnect with SMS retail system and send messages through the module. See also our article.
The page contains a table of configured connections. To create a new connection, click "Add", specify the connection name, IP address (or mask) of the third-party server and currency, and click "Save connection".
The new record will appear in the table, with an assigned user name and password. Insert the user name and password in the HTTP template and communicate it to the web programmers of the third-party application.
The HTTP template is as follows:
